What does my day off look like?

Many of you have asked me about my days off... "What do you do on your day off?"

Firstly my day off always starts a little later than usual. Many of you will know that my mornings are filled with the gym, running and my personal development routine. On my day off there is no gym and I love to sleep in for as long as my body needs. I love to wake up, make my hydration drink and my mug of Assam tea before heading into the living room to journal, stretch and read. I a slow, unplanned pay off... some classical music, my book and my tea.

Once I have done my morning routine, I love to get out and walk. Sometimes I walk to Altrincham for a coffee and other times I get our and do a 10km walk, maybe longer depending on the weather. After my walk, I head home and enjoy breakfast and continue with my slow day.

I don't really ever have a full day off, by this I mean my work phone is always on and I am answering emails and booking enquiries. This is all part of the business and I totally accept that bookings need to be taken and I am always grateful for when clients book in.

I love watching a movie on my day off and catching up with whatever telly I have missed during the week. Sometimes I will meet friends for lunch and others times I will cook at home and have family over or friends. Sometimes, I just spend the day by myself, pottering about and just spending time by myself... something that I find very nourishing, especially after a busy week.

I think there is a general misconception that I am out partying, attending wild events and but out in town but in honesty, I am just at home, relaxing, recharging and focusing on myself... sorry to disappoint.
